| The interested couple must compulsorily
produce the following documents: |

Certificate of celibacy or divorce |

| |
Cypriot citizens can be delivered a certificate
of celibacy by the President of the community in the parish
they live in or, if they are divorced, produce their certificate
of divorce. |

| |
Foreigners must produce a certificate of celibacy
delivered by an official authority of their country (Ministry
or Town Hall or other competent authority) or, if they are divorced,
their certificate of divorce. All documents must be translated
officially (by the Press and Information Office). |

| |
An affidavit before the District Court if the
divorces have been pronounced more than six months ago or if
deemed necessary. |

It is understood that the foreigner is legally
in Cyprus. |

| |
Submission of the particulars, personally by the
persons about to be married, producing their passports or identity
cards if they are Cypriot citizens. |

| |
Affidavit and presentation of a notice of marriage
by the two parties to the Marriage Officer. |
| |
|
| |
A copy of the notice is hung in a public place. |
| |
|
| |
Delivery of a certificate by the Marriage Officer
to each party |
| |
|
| |
Celebration of the marriage after 15 days and
within three months from the date of presentation of the notice.

|
| |
If the marriage is not celebrated within three months from
the date of presentation of the notice, the procedure is cancelled. |
In exceptional cases and on the showing of sufficient
explanation, at the request of the persons about to get married,
the Marriage Notice presentation procedure may be by-passed and
a Special License may be given. The following procedure is followed:
